A Notting Hill Triplex Designed Through Material, Light and Integration
In high-end residential design, the difference is rarely in the individual pieces.
It is in how everything connects.
This triplex on Kensington Park Road in Notting Hill is a clear example of that principle. Working in collaboration with Studio Integrate, the project moves beyond decoration and into something more resolved — where architecture, furniture and surface are treated as a single composition.
At TIB Plus, our role was to support that process through a curated selection of Italian brands, each contributing to a different layer of the interior.
Designing Through Light and Spatial Flow
One of the defining characteristics of the home is how light moves through it.
The inverted layout places the primary living space at the top, where a vaulted ceiling and wraparound sash windows introduce daylight from multiple angles. This is not simply a visual feature — it becomes the organising principle of the interior.
Below, a double-height void connects the kitchen and dining space to the lounge above. Rather than separating floors, the architecture draws them together, creating continuity between levels.
In projects like this, furniture and surfaces cannot be treated independently. Everything is seen in relation to everything else.
This is where careful specification becomes essential.
Novamobili Joinery as a Structural Element
The joinery throughout the home, supplied by Novamobili, plays a central role in shaping the interior.
Rather than acting as secondary storage, it establishes the tone of each space. In the principal suite, darker wood finishes create a sense of enclosure, softening the volume of the room while adding depth and contrast.
Integrated elements such as the dressing area and vanity are resolved within the same system, allowing the space to feel cohesive rather than assembled.
This is a key strength of Novamobili.
Their systems allow joinery to operate as part of the architecture — consistent, refined and quietly functional.
Lineaquattro Kitchen: Precision Without Excess
The kitchen, supplied by Lineaquattro, introduces a more controlled and disciplined language.
Clean-lined cabinetry and integrated appliances create clarity, allowing proportion and material to take precedence over detail. The result is understated, but far from minimal.
In this setting, the kitchen does not need to compete for attention. Instead, it sits confidently within the wider composition, supporting the architectural intent rather than interrupting it.
This balance is what defines well-resolved kitchen design.
Bespoke Seating with Arredamenti Maurizi
The living space is anchored by bespoke seating from Arredamenti Maurizi, designed to respond directly to the geometry of the room.
Soft curves echo the architecture, reinforcing the flow of the space rather than introducing contrast. The scale is generous, but the form remains controlled, allowing the furniture to feel integrated rather than imposed.
This is where bespoke furniture becomes essential.
In complex residential layouts, standard dimensions rarely align perfectly with the architecture. Maurizi allows us to adapt proportion, form and finish so that each piece feels considered within its setting.
Londonart: Surface as a Design Layer
Walls in this project are treated as an active part of the interior.
Through Londonart wallpaper, selected spaces introduce pattern and texture without overwhelming the overall scheme. In the bedrooms, this adds a layer of visual depth, complementing the joinery and soft furnishings.
Used correctly, wall coverings can shift the atmosphere of a room entirely.
Rather than acting as decoration, they become part of the material palette — working alongside wood, glass and fabric to create a balanced environment.
Decorative Lighting and Vertical Emphasis
Light is not only introduced through architecture, but also shaped through installation.
The double-height void is defined by a cascading sculptural light feature, composed of handcrafted glass elements that draw the eye upward and reinforce the vertical connection between floors.
Elsewhere, lighting is more restrained, used to highlight surfaces and maintain a calm, even atmosphere.
At TIB Plus, decorative lighting remains an important part of how we support projects. While specific collaborations evolve, the principle remains the same — lighting should be considered as a spatial element, not simply a functional requirement.
Material Consistency and Restraint
What holds the project together is not a single feature, but consistency.
Wood tones, neutral palettes and soft textures are carried throughout the space. Nothing feels overly introduced or out of place. Each material relates back to another, creating continuity across floors and rooms.
This level of restraint is often what defines high-end interiors.
It is not about adding more, but about refining what is already there.
Working with Studio Integrate
Studio Integrate’s approach to the architecture sets the foundation for everything that follows.
The intervention respects the heritage of the building while introducing a confident contemporary language. Curves soften transitions, and materials are selected with precision.
Our role at TIB Plus was to support that vision through specification — ensuring that each element, from joinery to furniture, aligned with the overall concept.
This kind of collaboration is central to how we work.
We operate as part of the design process, not separate from it.
A Residential Interior Built Through Integration
This Notting Hill triplex is not defined by individual products. It is defined by how those products work together. Through Novamobili, Lineaquattro, Arredamenti Maurizi and Londonart, alongside carefully considered lighting, the interior achieves a level of cohesion that is difficult to replicate through isolated specification.
At TIB Plus, this is what we focus on.
Supporting designers, architects and private clients in creating interiors where every element feels connected, considered and resolved.
